HOPE Network 2010 Program Statistics
A summary of HOPE Network's programs, and people-participation from October 1, 2009 – September 30, 2010.

Single Mothers Helped
Over 1,600 mothers received HOPE information through the mail or at the Second Saturday support group meetings.

364 paid members officially joined HOPE Network and received monthly mailings on all activities.

Over 4,200 phone calls and emails were made by HOPE's staff to single mothers, giving them information, counseling, or referrals; and to volunteers and other agencies who help single mothers.

Social Gatherings
96 single mother families participated in HOPE Network's Holiday Giving Tree program, which involved dozens of donor groups and an army of volunteers. Additional single mother families received $3,165 worth of gift cards donated by individual donors and four area churches.

250 free Milwaukee Brewers tickets were distributed to mothers and their children.

Clothing Distribution
94 single mothers have received maternity, infant, and toddler clothing and 94 layettes at our Mother's Trading Post at the south-side site located at Ascension Lutheran Church, which was open 18 Thursdays.

526 families were helped at the northwest site Mother's Trading Post at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, open once a month.

Newspaper
Over 43,750 copies of HOPE's resource newspaper were distributed to local single mothers and those who help single mothers, such as social service agencies, schools, hospitals, churches, clinics, and other community organizations

School Supplies
35 backpacks loaded with school supplies were given to children for the 2010 school year.

Scholarship Grants
1 single mother received a $1,000 grant for the 2010 – 2011 school year.

Cribs and Baby Equipment
176 free cribs and hundreds of other baby items were distributed to local agencies. 176 layettes were provided to needy single mothers. The layettes include diapers, wipes, baby toiletries, bibs, clothing, blankets, bottles, a pacifier, books, and a stuffed animal.

In-Kind Donations
More than $64,000 worth of donated items (diapers, wipes, baby blankets, books, toiletries, toys, clothing, baby furniture, etc.) were processed and distributed throughout the community by HOPE Network's volunteers and two part-time staff in our 1,200 square foot office.

General Volunteer Work
More than 2,800 volunteer hours (valued at $22,000+) were donated by 70+ volunteers for office work, consulting, clothes sorting, working for support groups, scholarships, Mother's Day event, Holiday party, newspaper, board meetings and HOPE's fundraisers.
