Paid Membership Benefits

What do I get for my $5 membership to HOPE Network for Single Mothers?

  1. Quarterly newspaper
    A newspaper full of free and inexpensive resources for mothers and children - parenting classes, legal & medical assistance, clothing and food resources, as well as fun events around the Greater Milwaukee area.

  2. Free bi-monthly mailing of Update
    A bulletin that keeps you up-to-date on events and opportunities between issues of our quarterly News. If you provide your email address, you'll receive additional Updates.

  3. Opportunity to place free ads
    Place ads of any type, such as "for sale", "help wanted", "items needed", "swap services", "babysitting offered", etc. in our Updates and our quarterly News.

  4. Second Saturday monthly gathering
    A free get-together of moms and their children, with fun activities, good food, new friends, free books and prizes. Meets every 2nd Saturday of the month between September and June.

  5. Opportunity to serve on the HOPE Board of Directors, craft-making committee, or volunteer at other events.

  6. Free portable cribs if not available from other sources Other sources include the City of Milwaukee Health Dept. (for city residents) or St. Joseph or Columbia St. Mary's Hospitals (if delivering there).

  7. Opportunity to apply for daycare grant or tuition scholarship
    We provide scholarships for single mothers in order to complete their post-high school education. See "Scholarships" tab at left.

  8. Occasional free tickets
    Members are notified when HOPE Network receives donated tickets to local events.

  9. Family events
    In the past, family outings for mothers and their children have included bowling, Craft Day, Betty Brinn Museum, and Brewers games. Please note: we are a small non-profit organization and are unable to provide assistance at Christmas time.
