HOPE Network publishes a free 28-page news magazine every quarter. It's filled with resources and community events of interest to single mothers and those who serve these families.

For a free subscription
If you would like to receive a printed copy every quarter of our free news magazine, please call HOPE Network at (262-251-7333) or send us an e-mail with your name and mailing address. Or, "go green" and tell us your email address and we'll send a .pdf every quarter. Agencies: Multiple copies are available for additional personnel or to circulate to clients, but we ask that you pay postage charges.

If you are NOT from the greater Milwaukee area, we will send you an information package including one issue of the news magazine, but will not add your name to our subscriber list, as the news magazine only lists resources and events in the greater Milwaukee area.

To publicize events of interest to single mothers
If you are a local agency or other community group with an event you would like publicized in the paper, you may e-mail us, fax it to (262) 251-2088, or mail the information. Deadlines: send information by Mar. 4 for mid-March through mid-June events; June 4 for mid-June through mid-Sept. events; Sept. 4 for mid-Sept. through mid-Dec. events; and Dec. 4 for mid-Dec. through mid-March events.

News magazine description
Network News has a circulation of 17,500, including single mothers, HOPE volunteers and donors, and personnel who help single mothers at area social service agencies, churches, hospitals, clinics, and schools. The magazine is mailed to more than 4,000 single mothers. Almost 11,000 issues are distributed to 225 local sites to pass out to families and staff.

In addition to publicizing upcoming events for HOPE Network single mothers, the publication also describes a wealth of Milwaukee and Waukesha parenting resources and items of interest to families. For instance, a recent issue included:

  • Listings of over 100 local parenting classes and prenatal resources

  • Information on emergency food, shelter, clothing, counseling, and other help

  • Want ads section for single mothers

  • Free or low-cost concerts, plays, nature center activities, and other family fun and fitness events

  • Child care information, with resources for providers

  • Column by author Gail Grenier Sweet, founder of HOPE Network

  • Free community resources and health care locations

  • Single mother achievement story or profiles of our scholarship winners

  • Free educational and job training programs
