In Wisconsin, 43 percent of single mothers with minor children live in poverty; in Milwaukee, County, that number exceeds 68 percent (U.S. Census Bureau data). Like all parents, single mothers want to give their children every advantage. But lack of education, resources, and community limit their job prospects, opportunities, and the time they can spend with their children. Just meeting everyday needs can leave them feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and alone.

Our crib program provides portables cribs, education, and infant supplies to families in need.

The Sharing HOPE quarterly newsletter, HOPE Network web site Resource listings, opportunities for engagement at community events, and member Facebook page give single mothers opportunity to connect with community and each other.
Build Strong futures
We foster self-reliance with scholarships that can be used for tuition or for childcare while the mother earns her degree.
